What’s The Best Time To Visit Montana?

When is the best time to visit Montana? While Montana can be visited any time of year, the months of June, July, and August are ideal.

Summer brings mild weather and various activities like hiking, camping, biking, and fishing in the lakes and rivers of the Rocky Mountains.

Enjoying breathtaking views from the mountains or taking a scenic drive through Glacier National Park are also popular during these months.

Despite this, In this article, I’ll share my own experience to help you how you can enjoy this time.

Best things to do in Montana:

There is something special about exploring the great outdoors. And few places in America offer as much to explore as Montana. From its beautiful national parks to its big cities, there are plenty of incredible things to do and see in this great state. So if you’re planning a trip to Montana, here are must-see attractions that should be on your itinerary.

Glacier National Park

With more than 700 miles of trails and over 1 million acres of land, Glacier National Park is the perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. The park has breathtaking scenery, featuring majestic snow-covered mountains, dense forests, and serene lakes. Yellowstone National Park

Flathead Lake

Located near Kalispell in northwest Montana, Flathead Lake is one of the largest freshwaters lakes west of the Mississippi River at over 200 square miles. It’s a stunning sight to behold with its crystal clear waters surrounded by lush forests and towering mountains in the background. Helena is Montana’s capital city located in southwest Montana near the Rocky Mountains. Going-to-the-Sun Road

This 50-mile stretch between West Glacier and St Mary is perhaps one of the most scenic drives in all of North America. The road takes you through two mountain passes with stunning views all around you as you drive up winding roads surrounded by gorgeous landscapes that will take your breath away. Take your time when driving through this area so you don’t miss any sights along your journey.

It’s considered one of the best ski resorts on earth with its impressive 4500 acres spanning three different peaks offering plenty of terrain options for everyone from beginners to experts alike.

Missoula

Missoula is considered one of the most livable cities in America thanks to its growing cultural scene full of art galleries music venues theatres restaurants bars & more all situated along Clark Fork River giving it an old western feel that visitors love visiting year round no matter what season it may be.
